About Me
Hello! My name is Daniella DeWeerd and I am the owner and sole baker of DeWeerd Sweets. Whether it was helping my mom put cupcake liners in the tin for some of her delicious blueberry muffins, or licking the leftover cake frosting out of the piping bag my grandma used to decorate cakes, I've always enjoyed helping make sweet foods in the kitchen. More recently, I've grown to love making my own recipes for cheesecakes and macarons especially. After bringing macarons to my sister's graduation party, I realized just how much people love them, but don't have the time and/or the patience to make them. That's where the idea to start this business came from. With it, I hope to be able to bring the joy of macarons and other baked desserts to more people!
